Where have you previously worked in cannabis? What was your role and title? How/why did you end up working there?
β
I started my cannabis journey back in February 2014 with LivWell Enlightened Health. At the time, adult-use cannabis was just becoming legal in Colorado, and the entire industry was trying to make sense of what that meant. Iβve always had a deep passion for the plant, its medicinal power, its ability to bring relief and connection to so many different people. So,d when the opportunity came to step into this space, I didnβt hesitate.
β
I managed teams across multiple locations in the Denver metro area during a time when the state was rolling out traceability systems and operators were working hard to align with constantly evolving regulations. My focus was on compliance, sales growth, employee growth & retention, brand standards & merchandising, and building a culture centered around education and customer loyalty. That 5.5 years of experience laid the foundation for what came next, transitioning into cannabis tech.
β
I was approached by Flowhub and joined as an Enterprise Customer Success Manager. The playbook I had built in retail became the blueprint I used to help operators across the country scale their dispensary businesses and create sustainable operations.
β
I was then approached by Leaflogix with the opportunity to help shape and grow their CSM team from the ground up. I brought the same energy, execution, and passion to supporting enterprise operators β and the rest is history.
β
What did you like most about working with cannabis? Whatβs a standout memory from that time?
β
What I love most about working with cannabis is the people. Iβve seen firsthand how this plant changes lives. Itβs not just about the sale; itβs about healing, relief, and human connection. Iβve served patients dealing with chronic pain, PTSD, anxiety, cancer, you name it.
β
There are so many moments that stand out, but Iβll never forget the relationships built with my teams and returning customers who truly trusted our team to guide them through their healing journey. That level of trust is powerful, and itβs something I carry with me to this day.
β
What have you learned moving from plant-touching work to tech? Did anything about the change surprise you?
β
The biggest thing Iβve learned is that the cannabis community, regardless of where you sit, whether on the retail floor or behind a product roadmap, is really one big family. My time in retail gave me a real-world understanding of the operator experience, and that insight has shaped how I show up in tech every day.
β
What surprised me most is that no matter your title, budtender, CEO, or anything in between, we're all pushing toward the same goal: safe, legal, accessible cannabis for all. That shared mission continues to inspire me.

β
Whatβs your advice for those starting out in cannabis? What is there to look forward to?
β
Learn everything. Be curious. Ask questions and never stop learning, this industry is still evolving, and the people who succeed are the ones who stay agile and open. If youβre just getting started, know that youβre part of something bigger. You're paving the way for future generations. Thereβs so much opportunity ahead, and the more you understand the full picture, the more doors will open for you.
