SAFER Banking passed Senate Banking Committee

The revised version of the SAFE Banking Act, now known as SAFER Banking, passed a key committee in the US Senate this week. Next stop is the full Senate for a vote. The timing is still a question as well as any amendments that may be introduced.ย

Minnesotaโ€™s new regulator resigns

Last week, Minnesotaโ€™s new cannabis regulator was chosen to lead the Office of Cannabis Management. This week, Erin Dupree stepped down from the job as a local report surfaced that a company she was involved in sold โ€œprohibited hemp-derived productsโ€.ย

Ohio voters appear to favor legalization

In November, voters in Ohio will vote to legalize adult-use cannabis. The folks supporting the measure commissioned a poll and suggest that nearly 60% of Ohio voters support the measure.ย
